Popular digital creator and author Felicia Fee Carr has issued a stark warning about the dangers young women face while attending college in Houston.

In a viral Instagram video, Carr highlighted disturbing trends involving young female students being targeted by older men, leading to abusive relationships, unplanned pregnancies, and college dropouts.

Carr’s Urgent Message

In her video, posted to her Instagram account (@2knwmeis2luvme2), Carr stressed the vulnerability of these young women, many of whom relocate to Houston for their education with no family support system in place.

“The last couple of days, I’ve been hearing some really, really horrible stories with girls coming out here to Houston to go to school. They meet up with these older guys, get pregnant, drop out, and then the abuse starts,” Carr stated in the video. “These girls have absolutely no family… Now I see why there are so many girls out here falling into this situation—because they are out here for school. That’s why they have nobody.”

Carr urged parents to stay actively involved in their daughters’ lives and to remain vigilant about their social circles and well-being.

Community Response and Concerns

Carr’s post has sparked widespread discussion, with many echoing her concerns about the exploitation of young women in college communities.

Houston has a significant student population, with institutions such as Texas Southern University, the University of Houston, and Rice University drawing thousands of students from across the country.

The issue of domestic violence and predatory relationships on college campuses is not new, but Carr’s message sheds light on an aspect that is often overlooked—the deliberate targeting of students who lack family support in their new city.

Calls for Action

Advocates are calling for increased awareness, stronger campus safety measures, and more resources to support young women navigating these challenges.

Organizations dedicated to combating domestic violence in Houston stress the importance of education, mentorship, and accessible support services.

Carr’s video is a wake-up call for both parents and students to take proactive steps in safeguarding young women pursuing higher education in Houston.
