H.E.R., Summer Walker, Brandy, Shine at the 2020 Soul Train Awards

Sunday night was the airing of the 2020 Soul Train Awards, and several women of color walked away with a few news accolades under their belts.

The awards ceremony was hosted for the third consecutive year by Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold.

H.E.R., led the nominations with eight nods, taking home two awards — Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award for “I Can’t Breathe.” Summer took the Album of the Year award for Over It.

Brandy, Babyface, CeeLo Green, Ella Mai, Charlie Wilson, Moses Sumney, Jazmine Sullivan, Lucky Daye, Monica and Smokey Robinson and others offered up stellar performances on the night.
