This Mother’s Day, Halle Bailey embraced her first Mother’s Day as a mother!
The 24-year-old actress surprised everyone when she announced earlier that she had given birth to a son named Halo in late 2023 with her partner DDG after months of relentless pregnancy rumors, sparking anticipation and excitement among her fans.
Since then, the Little Mermaid actress has regularly updated fans on their child and retrospective looks at the pregnancy.
On Sunday, May 12, the singer and actress, 24, shared a heartwarming video compilation, a testament to the special bond between her and her son, Halo.
Halle Bailey posted never-before-seen footage from the hospital following the birth of her son, including moments of her and DDG, 26, holding the infant on social media on Mother’s Day.
In the Instagram post, she shows off various throwbacks of her and her child, including an adorable shot of her first time holding him. “My first Mother’s Day ♥️,” she captioned the post.
The Little Mermaid actress then gave fans a peek into her life as a new mother by posting a few videos of herself and Halo kissing and cuddling, as well as a photo of the baby sleeping on her chest.
On Mother’s Day, the Chloe x Halle singer also disclosed that she had gotten a tattoo in honor of Halo the day before the holiday, marking another significant occasion and solidifying her love for him.
Bailey posted an Instagram Stories picture of the ink—her very first—that says “Halo” in red, cursive script on her wrist.
She wrote, “Today was Mother’s Day, and I got my first tattoo in honor of my baby halo.”
The ‘Little Mermaid’ star kept the news that she was even expecting to herself and recently now admitted that there was “no way in hell” that she was ever going to share her “biggest joy” on such a large scale.
Halle Bailey’s boyfriend, rapper DDG, also celebrated the holiday, calling Bailey “the best mom ever.”
