Kandi Burruss is setting the record straight as rumors swirl about a $2 million divorce settlement and monthly child support payments to her estranged husband, Todd Tucker. The singer and reality TV veteran has publicly denied claims that their ongoing divorce has already resulted in a major financial payout.
Speculation began circulating online suggesting that Todd would walk away from the marriage with a one-time $2 million payment, along with monthly child support ranging between $10,000 and $25,000. Additional claims alleged that he would receive full custody of their children. Kandi quickly pushed back against those reports, taking to Threads to address what she described as false narratives surrounding her personal life.
“The stuff people be making up about my divorce settlement is crazy,” she wrote. “I’m like who be coming up with this stuff?!” Her response made it clear that no such agreement had been finalized, despite the widespread chatter online.
Kandi and Todd initially faced a tense start to their divorce, with disagreements playing out publicly. Todd previously drew attention online with what Kandi later criticized as “daddy daycare” behavior during ongoing discussions around child support. Over time, however, the tone between the two appeared to shift, with signs pointing toward a more cooperative approach to ending their marriage.
That progress was complicated when Kandi returned to court, alleging that Todd had been living in one of her properties without paying rent. She also claimed he had not contributed to expenses related to their children, including education, care, and day-to-day living costs for their two minor children, Ace and Blaze.
It remains unclear whether Todd has since vacated the Atlanta property in question. Despite the legal back-and-forth, recent social media posts have shown the pair attending events together for their children, suggesting that they are continuing to co-parent while working through the details of their separation.
Outside of her personal life, Kandi has remained focused on her career. After completing her run in the Broadway production “And Juliet…,” she is preparing to reunite with her Xscape bandmates Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris and Tamika Scott for a Mother’s Day concert.
