Major congratulations to Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland! The Love Is Blind star and LIB UK alum are now expecting their first child together. And the announcement? So sweet it’ll give you cavities.
As you might recall, they only announced their engagement earlier this year, so this is quite the whirlwind romance – in the best possible way!
AD and Ollie are making room in their pod for a new family member, and they shared the incredible news with an adorable social media announcement. In a heartwarming video set to Monica’s “Angel of Mine,” the couple danced and frolicked in a beautiful meadow, their hands intertwined.
Then, in a truly touching moment, Ollie affectionately placed his hands on his fiancée’s baby bump. A following clip showed them beaming with smiles as they held their baby’s sonogram photos and shared a sweet kiss.
AD beautifully captioned their May 25 joint Instagram post, “How you changed my world, you’ll never know.”
Indeed, this big announcement comes just two months after Ollie popped the question to AD during a romantic moment on the beach. We even got to see the proposal during the Love Is Blind season eight reunion! “You’re my best friend,” Ollie gushed during the proposal.
“You’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy or as complete as I have since I met you. And nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life loving you”. When he finally asked, “Amber Desiree Smith, will you marry me?”, AD could only nod, covering her face in pure shock.
It’s amazing when you think about their journey. These two, AD, 34, and Ollie, 32, each participated in their own Love Is Blind seasons, AD in the U.S. and Ollie in the U.K. They both left the pods engaged but ultimately split with their respective partners. Their paths finally crossed while filming Netflix’s Perfect Match in September.
Once filming wrapped, it didn’t take long for romance rumors to start swirling, especially after they were spotted having a romantic dinner together in Mexico in October. But the couple didn’t officially confirm their relationship until their joint appearance during Love Is Blind’s season eight reunion in March. Ollie even clarified that their unique journey was precisely what set them up for success.
It shows that sometimes, love finds a way, even if it’s not exactly how you expect it to be on a reality TV show. We can’t wait to see their little bundle of joy!
