Before going on her Hot Girl Summer Tour, rapper Megan Thee Stallion hinted at a tequila brand that will compete with the biggest names in the $20.6 billion liquor industry.
Megan Thee Stallion opened her Hot Girl Summer Tour’s North American leg on Tuesday with a sold-out performance at Minneapolis’s Target Centre.
The BOA singer has been sharing updates with fans who could not be in the arenas. In one of her iconic hallway walks on the tour, Megan gave her followers a sneak peek at her new tequila drink, which is about to hit the market.
“CHICAGO HOTTIES, YOUR CHICAS IS READY 🔥🔥🔥 yall get to have thee FIRST EXCLUSIVE TASTE OF MY NEW TEQUILA DROPPING SOON ☀️👙🔥 #hotgirlsummertour’,” Megan captioned the video.
During her appearance at ADWEEK’s Social Media Week in April, the Houston native revealed her plans to expand into new industries. In addition, Meg is also working on a new album.
“I create the things that I want to see. I don’t create things for other people to like them. I create the music I want to hear. I go and do my own thing and stay true to me,” Megan told the audience then.
2019 saw the explosion of the “hot girl summer” meme, and Megan Thee Stallion took advantage of the excitement by releasing her official “Hot Girl Summer” song that year. As of 2022, Megan Thee Stallion is the trademark holder of the phrase.
As popular as tequila, many celebrity-owned brands are on the market now. It should be mentioned that tequilas owned by rappers are rare. Several of the biggest brands in the business, like Nicki Minaj’s MYX Fusions wine, Drake’s Virginia Black Whisky, and Jay Z’s D’Ussé Cognac, have ventured into other alcoholic ventures.
Megan will almost certainly figure out how to take advantage of her standing in the genre to get a head start.
