Investigations are underway after a bullet struck and killed a 20-year-old Ohio woman.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, Keshy’ra Robinson’s roommate said that noise from gunfire awoke her in her sleep. Moments later, she discovered Robinson unresponsive. Officers were dispatched to the home and upon arrival, the victim was found alive but suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital and succumbed to her wounds at 11:42 am.

Police have not identified a suspect, and are yet to reveal further details.

An autopsy report revealed that Robinson died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

A GoFundMe has been created to assist with Robinson’s funeral costs. “My niece was 20 years old with a 1-year-old son and a whole life ahead of herself; to know her was to love her! Keshy’ra had a smile that would brighten the entire room as soon as she smiled! She was a great mother, sister, daughter, etc..,” reads a statement on GoFundMe from Rebecca Allen, Robinson’s aunt.

“We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of her funeral expenses and also help with the cost of moving her mother & other siblings out of the house she was murdered in and help with her 1-year-old son. Anything will help, and we will be very appreciative, she didn’t deserve this, and our family and her friends are taking this loss very hard.

Toledo Police asks anyone with information into Robinson’s murder to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
