The Carter family knows how to light up a red carpet! Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently turned heads while supporting their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, at the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. The star-studded event in Los Angeles saw the couple celebrating their 11-year-old daughter’s connection to the Disney legacy.
In April, the 12-year-old was officially announced to be involved in the film directed by Barry Jenkins of Moonlight fame. She is set to appear alongside her mother, Donald Glover, and Aaron Pierre in Disney’s prequel to their animated classic.
Blue Ivy, although popular in various music videos by her parents, scored her debut film feature as she lends her voice to the character Princess Kiara.
Blue Ivy looked confident and poised as she graced the event in a stunning metallic gold ball gown with a strapless sweetheart neckline, accentuating her shoulders and décolletage.
The dress’s bodice gave Blue Ivy a structured, polished silhouette, complementing the shiny, reflective fabric with a dramatic and luxurious touch to the overall look.
Blue Ivy’s gown was complete with a full, voluminous skirt, creating a classic princess-like effect, ideal for the red carpet event. Plus, the golden hue complements the theme of the “Mufasa: The Lion King” premiere, embodying a regal aesthetic reminiscent of royalty.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the proud parents, were spotted beaming with pride as they cheered on their daughter. The couple’s glamorous presence added even more sparkle to the night. Beyoncé stunned in a regal gold ensemble that echoed the themes of the Lion King franchise, while Jay-Z kept it classic and sophisticated in a sleek black suit.
Alongside Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Tina Knowles, the mother of the “Break My Soul” singer, was also present at the premiere.
In the footage shared on social media from the premiere, Ms. Tina was spotted assisting her granddaughter with adjusting her strapless metallic gold gown before she took pictures with the photographers.
Additionally, another clip showed the proud father dabbing a tear from his eye as he observed his daughter.
“My gorgeous baby girl,” Beyoncé later wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of her daughter. “This is your night. You worked hard, and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
