Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were spotted in New York City under heavy security in their first joint public outing since a shooting incident targeted their California home, drawing renewed attention to the couple’s safety and recent events.
The pair stepped out together in Manhattan on Tuesday, surrounded by a visible security presence as they exited a building and made their way to a waiting SUV. Rihanna kept her look casual, wearing cuffed jeans, snakeskin boots, a gray sweater, and a leather jacket, while A$AP Rocky followed closely behind in a black trench coat and baseball cap.
Their appearance comes days after a shooting at their Los Angeles residence on March 8. According to police, 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz was arrested the same day and later charged with attempted murder. Authorities confirmed that Ortiz now faces multiple charges, including nine counts of assault with a firearm, two counts of shooting into an inhabited dwelling, and one count of shooting at a motor vehicle.
Court records show Ortiz appeared for an arraignment and plea hearing on March 10 in Los Angeles County. Prosecutors allege she used an AR-15-style rifle during the incident, firing at the couple’s $14 million home, where Rihanna and A$AP Rocky live with their three children, RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki Irish Mayers.
Police responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 1:21 p.m. and took Ortiz into custody shortly after arriving at the scene. Images from the property showed damage to the front security gate, which was struck by bullets, before additional shots hit an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway.
During a press conference following the court hearing, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated that both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were inside the trailer when gunfire struck the windshield. Authorities also reported that another nearby home in the neighborhood was hit, with two people inside at the time.
Records indicate Ortiz has a prior arrest history in Florida, including charges related to careless driving, domestic violence, and violating pretrial release conditions.
The couple’s appearance in New York marks their first time being seen together publicly since the incident, moving through the city with heightened security as the legal case continues to unfold.
