by Gee NY

What started as a small cupcake delivery service has blossomed into a full-time business for sisters Erin and Lena Bowman.

Now, the young entrepreneurs have reached a major milestone—opening a permanent location for their bakery, Sistahs’ Sweets Cupcakes, at 2507 St. Paul Street in Baltimore.

At just 14 and 15 years old, Erin and Lena launched their business, turning their love of baking into a thriving enterprise. Over the years, Sistahs’ Sweets expanded with food trucks, earning a loyal following and even drawing customers from out of state. Now, with their new storefront, the sisters are celebrating their success while reflecting on the journey that brought them here.

“The main feeling is gratitude,” Lena told WMAR 2 News . “There’s been so much blood, sweat, and tears put into this, but honestly, we’re just grateful—for our family, for God, and for the strength to keep going even when it gets hard.”

The bakery, which had a soft opening on Valentine’s Day, welcomed eager customers who have supported the sisters since their early days. Many family members and friends stopped by to celebrate the achievement, with some noting how inspiring it is to see such young women thriving in business.

“They started out so young, and now they’re growing their business. It’s really exciting,” said one supporter. “It’s inspiring not just for young women, but for anyone who wants to be a business owner and follow their dreams.”

Beyond their new café, the Bowmans continue to operate three food trucks and offer their unique singing telegram service, combining sweet treats with live musical performances.

As they look ahead, the sisters are planning a grand opening event in the spring but are already welcoming customers to experience their cozy confectionery café.

“We want people to feel love and joy when they walk in,” said Erin. “That’s what we’re all about.”

For now, Baltimore residents and visitors alike can stop by Sistahs’ Sweets to support the talented sister duo and enjoy their beloved baked goods.
