Tahiry Jose, Joe Budden’s ex-girlfriend, and the podcaster trade shots over domestic violence claims amid Diddy assaulting Cassie in a 2016 video.
The Joe Budden Podcast’s most recent episode, which aired on Wednesday, May 22, cut the segment from the previous episode and instead focused on Joe and the crew’s discussion of the video showing Diddy abusing Cassie.
Joe attacked Diddy in his response, labeling the embattled media mogul a “lying sack of s**t” after Diddy had apologized.
“I assumed he would go and hide somewhere, but why would you do that when you are just a glutton for attention?” Budden said on his podcast. “So he pops right back out. Talk about tone-deafness and the inability to read a room. Where are the fucking publicists? Where is anybody at this moment? He pops back out with this halfhearted bullshit apology. It’s almost offensive. It was like a slap in the face, that apology.”
Tahiry Jose entered the conversation when Budden’s statements began circulating on social media and reached The Shade Room, claiming that she had previously been thrown “down a flight of stairs” by Budden.
The former Love & Hip Hop star wrote in the comment section, “
This whole s**t took me out. It’s so hard to watch. So sorry for Cassie and every other woman who is currently going through it. Or has ever gone through it. It’s tough.”
“The irony,” she wrote, expressing her shock at how “so triggering” the security footage was for her.
“This is so triggering. I remember Joe throwing me down a flight of stairs, dragging me back into the house, and me having to talk him into letting me go.”
Fans quickly realized that Tahiry had previously accused him of abuse. She first claimed that the “Pump It Up” rapper had pushed her down a set of stairs and “dragged her by her ankles” in an interview with Hollywood Unlocked in 2020.
She also claimed to have suffered injuries such as a broken nose and fractured ribs.
But this time, Joe Budden quickly hopped into the comments section to address Jose.
“Tahiry, you are a lying, failed gold digger that has abused, targeted, and manipulated many men,” he wrote. “Outside of me, you lack an identity, which is why you’ve tried desperately to attach yourself to me for over 15 years.”
Joe continued by reciting the occasions they had been together after their failed relationship, suggesting that she had not been at odds with him.
“The last time I saw you, I purchased a mattress from you, and you were happy you made the sale; you were fine then,” he added. “There was that night after Starlets 6 years ago when you invited me inside your new place; you were fine then, too. You were on my body your entire last stint on Love & HipHop and tried your best to disrespect my son’s mother in the process. I had to ask producers to keep you away from us like the cancer you are!! Yet you continue to slight my name online because… it’s your identity.”
He concluded, “I don’t speak to or about you because it’s low vibrational. You’re a low-level Dyckman con woman who’s been lying about (you already know) for ages. I pray you to heal and move on one day. Hopefully, this is our last exchange. Prayers to all real victims.”
