Tamron Hall is receiving shade from Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen after what the latter said was an unfortunate encounter she had with the TV talk show host in a February interview.
On April 19, Larson took to The Shade Room’s Instagram comments to call out Hall for questioning her relationship with Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, who is 16 years her junior.
“She was very negative and judgmental,” the 48-year-old reality star wrote about Hall. “Her tone and facial expressions indicated she never wanted to have a fair conversation.”
She continued: “If she wants to audition for Housewives I know somebody.”
The post in which she commented on was a video the blog posted of her addressing the interview she said was “too hard on her” per a report from E! News.
In the video, Hall is heard stating that “I want [people] to know that this is an authentic conversation. My job is to not waste the time of the people watching at home. Barbara Walters famously said she never wanted to leave an interview and have someone say, ‘You should’ve asked that.’”
She further disclosed that she prefers that her interviews on the Tamron Hall Show are conducted in a “respectful environment,” adding that she doesn’t “benefit from ambush interviews.” She also said that when guests are booked to appear on her show, they are privy to topics that will be discussed, although they are not given specific questions prior to the interview.
When Pippen appeared on the show last February, her relationship with Jordan was still in its infancy. Hall proceeded to ask her why she decided to date the man, who is the son of her ex-husband Scottie Pippen’s former Chicago Bulls teammate. Larsa and Scottie have feuded publicly throughout the past several years.
“It wasn’t like it was planned like that,” Pippen said. “I think we were just together a lot with our friends, and it just so happened.”
Pippen was then asked what she and new flame have in common.
“I’ve dated guys that were a lot older than me. Scottie is 10 years older than me,” Pippen responded. “I don’t feel like that determines if you’re mature or not.”
As the interview ensued, it became apparent that Pippen became increasingly frustrated with Hall’s questions.
In the interview, Pippen appeared to grow weary of Hall’s direct line of questioning. But Hall didn’t give in – she would then ask Pippen about the relationship between the two families.
“[I don’t] really want to talk about them,” Pippen replied. “I feel like it’s not about, you know, my parents or his parents — they’re all happy. Our whole family’s fine.”
