Blac Chyna had audience members in tears after delivering an emotional speech while accepting her honorary doctorate of humanities from the Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College on Sunday.

“‘Doctorate of Humanities’ Dr. Angela White,” she wrote in the caption to an Instagram post on Sunday. “Thank you Sacramento Theological [Seminary] and Bible College for my honorary [degree].”

She further explained that “the degree of Doctor of Humanities is an honorary degree awarded to those who have distinguished themselves through humanitarian and philanthropic contributions to society.”

During her emotional speech, Chyna fought back tears as she thanked her family and supporters for believing in her.

“God has never given up on me,” the Rob & Chyna reality star shared. “I’ve been through a lot in my life and he’s been changing my life. I want to continue to walk in this light and learn and grow and be an inspiration to my family, my friends, and my kids.”

It was in May when Shine My Crown first reported that the 35-year-old D.C. native was awarded a doctoral degree from the institution.

The mother of two said she received the degree in religious liberal arts back in January. “On January 17, 2023, I got my Doctorate of Liberal Arts from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College,” she wrote in the caption of the photo that showed her degree next to a picture of her two children. “Doctor Angela Renee White.”

The news is the latest in the current rebrand the star has undertaken in recent months. In one of the latest moves to revamp her image, she has shared a video of her showing off her newly-half-shaven head.

Then in an Instagram post, she wrote that she is “obsessed with my short hair cuts so I wanna try all the different styles.”

In a recent Forbes interview, she further revealed that she no longer wants to be referred to as “Blac Chyna” but by her birth name: Angela White.

She continued: “Nobody ever really calls me Angela. So sometimes I would forget who I am because it’s always about the brand, brand, brand, but not about the person.”

Shortly thereafter, fans took to Twitter to support White.

“I’m loving the rebrand of blac chyna, she has my support. I’m here for anyone that wants to be a better them. It’s never too late,” one user wrote.

“I feel like blac chyna is having a spiritual awakening and I’m so happy for her .may she receive all the blessings and peace,” wrote another.
