Meghan Markle just dropped a never-before-seen video of herself twerking in labor with Prince Harry, and somehow, people are finding ways to be angry about it.

Apparently, now pregnant women aren’t allowed to move while in labor. People are losing it, and the opinions are flying!

The previously unseen footage was shared to mark Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday on Tuesday (June 4). In the clip, Meghan, clearly with a baby heartbeat monitor wrapped around her, is seen twerking next to a hospital bed. At the same time, Harry, in a hooded top, busts some moves alongside her with Starrkeisha’s “Baby Mama” blurting out in the background.

Meghan shared on Instagram that the dance was a bid to induce labor, as Lilibet was past her due date. “When spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work, there was only one thing left to do,” she wrote.

Research supports this! Movement can help your baby shift into a good position for delivery, and squatting during labor is often recommended because it widens the pelvic outlet for easier passage of the baby.

Despite the logical reasoning (and the fact that it’s, you know, her labor), the clip quickly went viral, sparking both praise and fierce criticism. Some people, despite the clear baby monitor, even accused her of faking her pregnancy because her tummy had a “weird shape.”

The outrage machine went into overdrive, with outlets like the Daily Mail referring to her as the “Queen of Cringe.” Columnist Amanda Platell slammed it in the Daily Mail, calling it “one of the most sacred and private times” and questioning what made them think it was a good idea to “blaze it across social media.” She even accused them of a “pathetic, desperate bid for attention” and claimed the video made them a “laughing stock.” Author Oli London joined the fray, branding Meghan “cringe” on X. Piers Morgan, never one to miss an opportunity, quipped, “We’re about 2 months away from the sex tape…”

However, not everyone is clutching their pearls! Christopher Bouzy, founder of Bot Sentinel, hit back on X, writing, “Meghan dropped this video, and the haters and conspiracy theorists are spiraling like they just found out their tinfoil hats don’t get Wi-Fi. Y’all crashing out over a pregnant woman dancing is why y’all are not serious people”. Prominent menswear journalist Derek Guy also chimed in on X, simply stating, “Every whiny criticism of Meghan Markle has sounded totally idiotic. Don’t like something, stop watching. Good lord”.

Beyond the dancing drama, the mum-of-two also shared two other sweet posts dedicated to her little girl’s special day. One photo showed her holding a close-to-newborn, Lili, on what appeared to be a boat, while another captured the former senior Royal with Lili as a newborn.

“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!” she penned. “Four years ago today, she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!” Another heartwarming post showed husband Harry as the ever-doting dad, gazing lovingly into his swaddled baby daughter’s eyes in one shot and walking hand-in-hand with her across a sandy beach surrounded by palm trees in the next.

So, what’s the real issue here? A couple dancing to induce labor in private footage, or the constant need to criticize every single move Meghan Markle makes? The internet has spoken, but the division is clear. What side are you on?
