‘We’re Not Going to Stop Looking’: Urgent Search Continues for Missing Michigan Teen London Thomas

by Gee NY

The family of 17-year-old London Thomas is pleading for answers as the search intensifies more than a week after the Michigan teenager disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

London was last seen on April 5, 2025, in Inkster, Michigan, near Carlysle Street.

She is described as 5’8” tall, weighing 115 pounds, with a colorful butterfly tattoo on her neck. She was last spotted wearing pink Crocs, black leggings, and either a black hoodie with a Jason mask or a dark green hoodie reading “1-800 Mental Health Matters.”

Her cellphone last pinged in the vicinity of Ann Arbor Trail between Middlebelt Road and Inkster Road, near Cooper Upper Elementary School in Westland. That location has become a focal point for search efforts, including wooded areas and a nearby trailer park.

“It’s the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life, but we’re not going to stop looking,” said Cedric Salisbury, London’s father, who helped organize a community-led search on Saturday.

Local volunteers joined Salisbury in combing through dense woods, calling out London’s name in the hope of finding clues. Despite their determined efforts, no new evidence has surfaced.

“There’s a lot of woods, cemeteries… it’s definitely creepy. I think we just need to step up the search even more,” Salisbury told reporters.

The Inkster Police Department confirmed that London was last seen with her boyfriend before her disappearance. Authorities have not released further information regarding his role, if any, in the ongoing investigation.

Salisbury, visibly emotional during the search, shared more about his daughter’s vibrant personality and talents.

“London is my best friend,” he said. “She’s a good kid—very talented, down to earth. Everybody loves her. She does hair and makeup. She’s well known in the community. She raps, dances, and sings. She’s a little artist.”

The Westland Police Department, Inkster Police, and the FBI are now involved in the case. Tips and any relevant information about London’s disappearance are being sought from the public.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Westland Police Department at (734) 722-9600, the Inkster Police at (313) 563-9850, or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
