The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony promises to be a star-studded affair, with the talented Teyana Taylor bringing one of the most anticipated performances. The singer and dancer has been confirmed as the performer who will pay tribute to the legendary Dionne Warwick.

Earlier in January, Teyana Taylor updated fans on the upcoming Dionne Warwick biopic, in which she plays the legendary musician. The Harlem native took to social media on Wednesday, January 24, to repost an image from Warwick’s son, producer Damon Elliott, confirming the film’s official start.

Teyana Taylor praised the “Heartbreaker” performer and expressed excitement about the film’s start.

“And just like that… 2020MORE Blessings!,” began the 33-year-old. “Ms. Dionne Warwick… A woman of great stature, poise, and elegance, with a fiery spirit — Realizing I was looking at my future self. My reflection without a mirror.”

She continued to detail, “It’s GO TIMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! It’s been a long time coming!!!”

Dionne Warwick herself announced the news on X, challenging her followers to guess the remaining cast.

Warwick’s career took off in the 1960s with hits such as “Walk On By,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” and “Alfie.” Her music frequently combined pop, soul, and R&B elements, resulting in a distinct sound that captivated audiences worldwide.

Warwick has been an outspoken supporter of social justice and humanitarian causes throughout her career. She has been a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and has worked with various charitable organizations. Her music and social activism contributions have earned her numerous awards and honors, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, Warwick’s timeless voice and trailblazing spirit have cemented her place as one of music’s most iconic and beloved artists.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, announced that Teyana Taylor will take the stage to honor the iconic Dionne Warwick this October.
