Ciara joined forces with celebrity ambassadors known as Baby2Baby Angels to raise $17 million for Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential items to impoverished mothers and children across the country.
On Saturday, November 9th, at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, celebrities, tastemakers, executives, and philanthropic individuals gathered in stunning ball gowns and fitted tuxes to attend the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala, presented by Paul Mitchell.
Ciara, one of the organization’s dedicated ambassadors, dazzled in a stunning gown while passionately advocating for mothers and children in need.
The Grammy-winning artist showed off her new love for statement skirts and leather gloves in a Maticevski outfit with a Zinc high-neck top paired with a pocket-detailed linen-blend maxi skirt.
The ultra-high waistband and loose-fit crop top elevated Ciara’s silhouette to effortless, figure-flattering sophistication. The high-neck top balanced the skirt’s volume, and the unique pocket detail added a modern touch. Ciara’s choice of black leather adds dimension to the look, highlighting Maticevski’s meticulous flair.
The annual event benefits Baby2Baby’s mission of providing basic necessities to needy children and has become one of Hollywood’s most anticipated red-carpet events.
This year’s guests included Charlize Theron, who radiated elegance as she accepted the night’s highest honor, the Giving Tree Award, for her contributions to children’s welfare. The actress posed for cameras in a chic white and black Schiaparelli gown with a halter neckline, deep-V plunging neckline, corset midsection, and draped material.
After the event, Ciara took to Instagram to reflect on the night’s success. She wrote, “What an honor it was to join my fellow @Baby2Baby Angels for a historic night at the Baby2Baby Gala! 17M Raised!!@NorahWeinstein @KellySawyer, it’s truly a blessing for us all to be on this amazing journey with you ladies to help provide essential needs to mothers and children living in poverty across the country! Thank you to the incredible sponsors of the night helping make it all happen!
Ciara wasn’t alone in her efforts. Fellow Baby2Baby Angels, including Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, and Kerry Washington, lent their support to the cause, bringing Hollywood glamour and heartfelt passion to the event. Special performances and surprise auctions helped drive donations to record-breaking levels.
Over 800 people attended the gala, and special guests contributed more than $17 million to support Baby2Baby’s mission. Over the last 13 years, the organization has distributed over 470 million critical items, such as diapers, formula, and clothing, to families in need across the nation.
