Political commentator Danielle Moodie ignited social media on Tuesday with a viral Instagram post warning that the United States is on the brink of “martial law.”
The post, which she shared under her account @deetwocents, claimed that President Donald Trump — now back in the White House — and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth are orchestrating a sweeping purge of military leaders based on loyalty and identity.
“Whatever is bigger than a 5-alarm fire is where we are today!!!!!!! Spread the word… martial law is coming and FAST,” Moodie wrote in the caption of her post.
Claims of a “Loyalty Test” for Military Leadership
In the accompanying video, which has been viewed tens of thousands of times, Moodie alleged that an “unprecedented meeting” of admirals and generals from around the world was convened at Trump’s request to assess the loyalty of top U.S. military brass.
“I said it over the weekend… it is now being confirmed that Donald Trump will fire any admirals or generals that he does not like,” Moodie said. “And by does not like means does not fit the frame or the characteristics that he’s looking for, namely white, namely male, and namely loyal to Donald Trump.”
Moodie characterized the situation as a “100-alarm fire” and argued that ordinary forms of protest may no longer be enough to counter what she called a slide into dictatorship.
Dire Warnings About Elections and Civil Liberties
The video also included explosive claims about the future of American democracy. Moodie told her followers that Trump recently told Democratic leaders, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, that he “will not” work with them and is prepared to use the military to achieve his goals.
She further claimed that the administration is already positioning military forces “around our cities” in preparation for a nationwide crackdown, which she described as a precursor to the “final solution.” Moodie warned that midterm elections may not take place in 2026 and predicted that Americans could lose the right to speak out by the end of this year.
“This is not me being hyperbolic,” she said. “He is turning the military of these United States against us. He has already turned the Supreme Court against the Constitution. And now our military is going against the Constitution.”
