Tineke “Tini” Younger, a beloved figure in the TikTok cooking community, is finding solace in her faith, family, and supportive community following a devastating loss.

The 24-year-old chef, adored for her vibrant personality and delectable cooking videos, revealed that she and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., lost one of their twin daughters just days before reaching full term.

In an emotional Facebook update shared on Wednesday, November 26, Chef Tini opened up about the heartbreaking experience, which left many of her followers heartbroken. She disclosed that a sudden placenta abruption occurred at nearly 36 weeks into her pregnancy, leading to the tragic passing of their daughter, Arya, affectionately known as Baby A.

“This isn’t the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came,” Chef Tini expressed. “Unfortunately, earlier this week we lost our sweet girl Arya.”

Chef Tini described the unexpected nature of the complication, stating, “We made it to almost 36 weeks… but I had a placenta abruption, and we lost our sweet girl.” Despite this overwhelming sorrow, she shared a glimmer of hope, confirming that Arya’s twin sister is doing well and breathing on her own. “Her twin sister is doing really good and breathing on her own,” she noted.

In a series of poignant black-and-white images, Chef Tini and her husband are seen cradling baby Arya in the hospital, alongside a supportive doctor who was present during the delivery.

“They both are so beautiful, and Arya will always be celebrated. Her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister,” Chef Tini affirmed.

Placenta abruption, the complication responsible for Arya’s passing, is a rare emergency in pregnancy where the placenta detaches prematurely from the uterus, often cutting off oxygen and nutrients to the baby and causing severe bleeding for the mother, potentially leading to premature birth or stillbirth, as explained by the Mayo Clinic.

Concluding her heartfelt message, Chef Tini informed her followers that she would be stepping away from social media for an undefined period. “I will be taking a break, not sure for how long, but I promise I will be back. I love you guys,” she wrote.

In the wake of her loss, fans, fellow parents, and other TikTok creators have inundated her social media platforms with prayers, condolences, and words of encouragement.
