Political commentator and podcaster Danielle Moodie is reiterating her warning about the United States’ dangerous slide toward authoritarianism.
She is urging Americans not to dismiss the rhetoric or agenda tied to Donald Trump and Project 2025.
In a recent Instagram post, Moodie wrote, “America is awaking, the question is if it’s too late!” Her caption accompanied a video in which she delivered a blunt assessment of the country’s current political trajectory.
“The reality is, folks, it isn’t just our politicians that need to meet this moment. We all do. This is our lives. This is our country,” Moodie said. “And we cannot just sit around and chuckle and think to ourselves that what Donald Trump and his sycophants are saying will not come to pass.”
Moodie warned that the conservative blueprint known as Project 2025—crafted by policy groups aligned with Trump—has already made alarming progress.
“Nearly half of Project 2025 is complete, and it’s only been eight months. We have entered into the next phase of their operation, which is full militarization and authoritarianism. We are here, she added.
Her remarks reflect mounting concern among political analysts and activists who have highlighted the project’s stated goals of restructuring the federal government, curbing civil rights protections, and consolidating executive power.
Still, Moodie expressed hope that Americans are beginning to recognize the stakes. “I want to believe that … there is a collective awakening that is happening,” she said. “I pray, however, that it is not too late.”
The post has since sparked widespread engagement online, with many of her followers echoing fears about democratic backsliding while calling for civic engagement ahead of the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential race.
