Angel Reese and McDonald’s Make History with the ‘Angel Reese Special’—First-Ever National Meal Collab with a Female Athlete

by Gee NY

Angel Reese is proving once again that her influence extends far beyond the basketball court. The 22-year-old Chicago Sky forward and rising sports mogul is teaming up with McDonald’s to launch her very own signature meal—the Angel Reese Special, making her the first female athlete to receive a national meal collaboration with the fast-food giant.

Dropping February 10, the meal features a BBQ Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese enhanced by a brand-new Bold BBQ Sauce, alongside McDonald’s iconic World Famous Fries and a choice of drink.

From Hoops Star to Marketing Powerhouse

Reese, who was named a McDonald’s All American in 2020, called the partnership a “dream come true.”

“McDonald’s has always been a big part of my life, from grabbing a McChicken as a kid to being named a McDonald’s All American in 2020,” Reese said in the official announcement. “It’s really a dream come true to be the first-ever female athlete to have my own meal and be a part of McDonald’s amazing basketball legacy.”

This latest deal adds to Reese’s rapidly growing empire, which already includes major endorsements with Reebok, Beats by Dre, and Reese’s. By leveraging her signature confidence and style, she continues to redefine what it means to be a female athlete in today’s sports and business landscape.

McDonald’s Doubles Down on Basketball Culture

McDonald’s has a long-standing history with basketball, from its legendary McDonald’s All American Games to iconic commercials featuring hoop legends. According to Jennifer “JJ” Healan, McDonald’s Vice President of Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture, this collaboration is about more than just a meal—it’s about inspiring the next generation:

“We want to continue to fuel the love for the game and support athletes on and off the court,” Healan said. “We’re excited to bring our legacy with basketball culture to a new generation, and partnering with Angel is only the beginning.”

Beyond the meal, McDonald’s plans to roll out exclusive basketball-inspired content, celebrating the fast-food giant’s deep connection to the sport while shining a light on both established legends and rising stars.

Where to Get the ‘Angel Reese Special’

Fans can grab the Angel Reese Special starting Feb. 10 at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide, via the McDonald’s App, in-restaurant, and through the Drive-Thru—while supplies last.

This partnership isn’t just about food—it’s about representation, legacy, and proving that women in sports belong at the table… or in this case, on the menu.
