Tiffany M. Simmons, an accomplished attorney from Atlanta, has joined the cast of Street Legal South’s upcoming television series, a spin-off of the popular legal drama franchise Street Legal.
Simmons, known on social media as @theplugslawyer, will portray the character Nicole Perry, an attorney at the fictitious law firm Taylor & Associates.
The series has been fully filmed and is scheduled for release later this year.
Street Legal South is part of a franchise renowned for its gritty portrayal of criminal defense lawyers handling complex cases. The original series, Street Legal Detroit, garnered a dedicated following after its premiere in 2023, with its second season set to debut in September 2024.
The franchise’s content, produced by Dennis Reed II—celebrated as a top producer of movies and television content on Tubi—can be streamed exclusively on the Tubi platform.
Simmons expressed her excitement about joining the series, stating the following in a press release:
“I’m very grateful to be up with seasoned Tubi actors considering this is my very first TV series role. I play an attorney, Nicole Perry, who works for the fictitious law firm of Taylor & Associates. This character is nothing like me, so I was truly challenged in this new role.”
In addition to her new acting role, Tiffany M. Simmons is a seasoned attorney, actress, and producer. She has appeared on prominent media platforms including CNN, HLN’s After Dark, Dan Abram’s Law and Crime Network, and Court TV.
Simmons is also known for her work on Hood Court, a reality court TV show she produced, which features live Q&A sessions and audience verdicts.
Simmons serves as the owner and principal attorney of Simmons Law, LLC, a civil and criminal litigation firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Since 2009, she has maintained an undefeated trial record, advocating passionately for marginalized communities and ensuring their voices are heard in the legal system.
