Flo Milli just welcomed her “internet nephew” to the world, but she didn’t exactly take a traditional maternity leave! The rapper hit the stage to perform just days after giving birth, and the internet has some very strong opinions about it.

You know, we had to dive into this hot topic!

One moment, she’s cradling her newborn. The next, she’s commanding the stage at the RiverBeat Music Festival. And just like that, Flo Milli is at the center of a heated online debate. Some are praising her hustle. Others, not so much.

Just a week after announcing the arrival of her baby boy on April 25th with an adorable Instagram photo, Flo Milli was back in action at the RiverBeat in Memphis.

The “Never Lose Me” rapper shocked fans when a fan page posted a video of her opening her set at the RiverBeat Festival. Dressed in full performance glam, moving with the same electric energy we’ve come to expect, Flo didn’t miss a beat. But while the crowd cheered in person, online, it was chaos.

“Flo Milli needs to stay home for at least two months to recover from birth. Why is she working already???” one user asked, echoing a wave of comments questioning her postpartum decisions. Others wondered if she was back on stage out of necessity, asking where the baby daddy was and why Flo was allegedly carrying the financial weight so soon.

While some fans were hyped to see her back on stage so soon, others voiced serious concerns. Questions about her recovery and the demands of new motherhood flooded the comments. One user, @YMBIBI, wrote, “Flo Milli needs to stay at home for at least two months to recover from birth. Why is she working already???” Many felt she was returning to work too quickly after such a major physical event.

However, not everyone was critical. A wave of fans jumped to Flo Milli’s defense, emphasizing that it was her choice and no one else’s. @ashleyamora added, “These Flo Milli posts are weird. Who said she’s being forced to go back to work? Maybe she wanted to? Maybe she didn’t wanna disappoint her fans. Leave her alone. Y’all love to bully people by acting fake concerned. Weirdos.”

The conversation even brought up a comparison to Cardi B. @ilovebadbrown commented, “When Cardi B popped out at fashion week a week after giving birth, everybody was sooooo supportive, but Flo Milli does ONE performance and all of a sudden it’s unacceptable???????”

Flo Milli confirmed her pregnancy back in November and has now joyfully shared the arrival of her son. Interestingly, on the very same day she announced his birth, she also dropped a new single, “Gripper,” featuring T-Pain, making you wonder about the timing and how her new role as a mother might influence her future music plans.
