Halle Bailey is furious with her ex-boyfriend, DDG, for allowing their 11-month-old son Halo to appear on a livestream viewed by ‘millions’ without her permission.
DDG joined YouTube star Kai Cenat’s Twitch livestream to the content creator’s 13.8 million followers on Wednesday alongside his child Halo, and Halle Bailey is “very upset” about this.
Bailey and DDG welcomed their son, Halo, in December 2023, but they announced their separation in October 2024 after almost three years of being together. Even after their split, DDG frequently shares moments with his son on social media, which has attracted criticism about his parenting style.
In response to recent claims of “using” his son for attention, DDG defended his actions by saying, “My son is ‘famous’ because of his parents.”
After Baby Halo’s appearance on a livestream, his mother, Halle Bailey, released a statement on X, explaining that she “wasn’t told or notified” of DDG’s plan, especially since she is currently out of town.
“Hi everyone. Just so you know, I am out of town, and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn’t told or notified, and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector, and I am saddened that I wasn’t notified, especially when I am out of town.”
This comes after DDG announced last month that he and Bailey “decided to go our separate ways.”
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” DDG wrote on social media. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”
The reactions to Halle Bailey’s post were varied. Some applauded the singer for voicing her opinion and emphasizing her role as a mother. Others, nonetheless, believed that DDG should have the authority to make choices concerning his child’s welfare. “He’s with his dad,” remarked one user. “Have a great time during your trip.” Another Twitter user accused Bailey of being hypocritical since she frequently shares pictures of her son online. “You share photos of your child all the time,” they pointed out.
Is Halle Bailey posting a photo with her son the same as featuring him on a stream watched by millions of teenage fans?
