In the lyrics, DDG raps, “And about Halo mama, you know that’s my baby forever, y’all know that I love that—.” It’s clear from these lines that despite their breakup, DDG still holds a special place in his heart for the “Little Mermaid” star.
The mention of “Halo mama” (a reference to the couple’s nickname for Halle) feels like a reminder of their shared history and undeniable bond, leaving fans to speculate whether there’s a chance for them to rekindle their romance.
DDG’s relationship with Halle Bailey, which started in January 2022, officially ended after DDG announced the split in October. The breakup was initially problem-free until the couple got entangled in a public disagreement when DDG involved their son in a Twitch livestream with Kai Cenat, an incident Bailey voiced her concerns about on X before later admitting she may have “overreacted.”
Despite it all, DDG hasn’t entirely closed himself off from the possibility of future relationships or growing his family. While addressing the recent speculation connecting him to “Baddies” star Ahna Mac, DDG stated that he is single and has not yet moved on from Bailey.
