Halle Bailey has reportedly been granted sole legal and physical custody of their 16-month-old son, Halo Saint, after making some truly alarming claims in court.

The Halle Bailey and DDG saga just took a serious turn.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the judge sided with Halle, granting her temporary sole custody of baby Halo until her upcoming court hearing with her rapper ex. This temporary order also extends the existing restraining order, requiring DDG to stay over 100 yards away from both Halle and their son at all times. This protective measure, initially put in place due to Halle’s allegations of physical and emotional abuse, is set to expire after their next court date on June 4, 2025.

But here’s where it gets really concerning. The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed that Halle’s request for the restraining order included a desperate plea to the court regarding her fears that DDG might kidnap their one-year-old son. Halle, 25, alleged in the court papers that her 27-year-old ex has “threatened to take our son without my permission and has tried to do so.”

In her filings, Halle reportedly asked the judge for orders that would “prevent abduction” based on several concerning incidents she outlined. In one alleged instance, the actress stated that she feared her son would not be returned to her by his father and that she ultimately had to involve lawyers to resolve the situation.

Halle also claimed that her attempts to co-parent amicably have been met with resistance. “I have attempted to work with Darryl to set up a schedule for Halo, but he refuses to talk to me and just goes live to blast me to his fans,” she alleged in the court documents.

The fact that a judge has granted Halle sole custody, even on a temporary basis, speaks volumes about the seriousness of her claims and the potential risks involved. It suggests that the court found sufficient reason to believe Halle’s fears warrant this level of protection for her and baby Halo.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the upcoming court hearing in June, as the future of Halo’s custody hangs in the balance. For now, it seems Halle has secured a crucial victory in ensuring her son’s safety and well-being.
