Could it be true? Some reports indicate that Rihanna is currently in the studio recording two new songs for the long-awaited Black Panther II soundtrack set to be released next month. It would be the first time hearing vocals from the award-winning artist in over a year.
Her last album, ANTI, was released six years ago and since then, fans have eagerly awaited more music from the Barbadian beauty. Earlier this month, the NFL announced that she would be performing at their highly-coveted Super Bowl Halftime Show, which will be her first public performance in four years.
According to Vulture, Riri was spotted leaving recording studios, which has left some fans speculating that new music is definitely on the way. The new songs reportedly include the “end of credits” song, which featured Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s hit song, All The Stars, on the Marvel film’s first Black Panther movie. The song was eventually nominated for an Academy Award the following year.
“I need the Rihanna x Black Panther songs to be ass shakers. I know they got some clerbs in Wakanda,” one Twitter user posted shortly after news broke of her possible appearance on the soundtrack.
“I can’t find words. We just might get that album,” tweeted another.
“Rihanna is…
• possibly releasing two new songs for the ‘black panther: wakanda forever’ soundtrack
• releasing part four of the savage x fenty show
• no longer paying dust to tiktok
• headlining the 2023 super bowl halftime show
• possibly doing stadium tours in 2023,” wrote another user.
Although nothing is confirmed, there are also rumors that she will embark on a world tour next year as well. The Fenty business magnate has spent most of her time focusing on her beauty and lingerie empires, so we’ll just have to wait and see if and when she will drop new music again…and we can’t wait!
