A tragic confrontation fueled by infidelity ended in gunfire early Monday morning in Nashville, leaving a wife dead and raising difficult questions about self-defense, domestic conflict, and the law.
Police say 42-year-old Keiona Wilson drove to a home on Scalf Drive after discovering her husband’s car parked there. The vehicle allegedly belonged to another woman, 42-year-old Keosha Greer, who police say was in a relationship with Wilson’s husband.

Investigators report that Wilson moved her husband’s car to the front of the house before knocking on the door. After a tense wait, Greer spoke to her through the home’s surveillance speaker, sparking a heated argument over whether Wilson’s husband was inside.
The exchange quickly escalated. When Wilson allegedly tried to force her way inside, police say Greer fired a shot through the storm door, narrowly missing her. Instead of retreating, Wilson entered the home, leading to a violent physical struggle between the two women.
During the fight, Greer allegedly fired a second shot, striking Wilson in the stomach. Wilson managed to drive her husband’s car a short distance before flagging down an officer outside the Madison Precinct. She was rushed to Skyline Medical Center but died from her injuries.
Metro Nashville police said the case has been reviewed with the District Attorney’s Office, but no charges have been filed at this time. Whether charges will be brought depends on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
The shocking case underscores the devastating consequences of domestic disputes that turn violent, leaving behind grief, unanswered questions, and a community searching for accountability.
