Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion is expanding her impact beyond music with a new philanthropic initiative aimed at boosting educational opportunity for students and teachers alike.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, Megan announced the Best In Class Award Grant, a program powered by her nonprofit, Pete & Thomas Foundation, in partnership with Toyota. The awards will give five students and five educators a $5,000 grant each to support their academic and professional goals, organizers say.
The program — designed to recognize excellence and help remove financial barriers — invites applications from currently enrolled college students with a minimum 2.7 GPA, as well as K-12 teachers with at least five years of classroom experience. All applicants must demonstrate financial need.

In a social media call to action, Megan referred to applicants as “academic hotties” — a playful nod to her fanbase while underscoring that intellectual achievement matters as much as artistic success. The grant applications are open through February 11, after which recipients will be selected by a committee.
The Best In Class program builds on Megan Thee Stallion’s history of advocacy and education support. In 2021, she fulfilled a promise to her late mother by completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from Texas Southern University, and the foundation’s inaugural gala in 2025 raised more than $1.2 million for education, housing and wellness initiatives in underserved communities.
“Whether you’re in your locked-in era or leading the next generation in the classroom, we see you and want to support your journey!” read part of the announcement.
Megan Thee Stallion, known for back-to-back Grammy wins and chart-topping hits, continues to leverage her platform to make a tangible difference — signaling that her influence extends far beyond music into empowering future leaders and educators.
