A four-year-old Wisconsin boy took matters into his own hands after his mom ate his ice cream, dialing 911 to report the “offense.”
The adorable yet unexpected call led to a visit from local police officers, who later returned with a special treat to make amends.
According to the Village of Mt. Pleasant Police Department, the toddler made the call to emergency dispatch, saying:
“Come get my mommy,” in a serious tone.
When dispatchers pressed for more details, he explained that his mother had eaten his ice cream and that he wanted her “taken to jail.”
Amused but still responding professionally, officers arrived at the home to investigate the “emergency.”
When they arrived, the child had calmed down and informed them that he no longer wanted his mom arrested. His mother, who had been unaware of his call at first, admitted to eating the ice cream, laughing at the lengths her son went to in order to seek justice for his missing dessert.

The officers took the incident in stride, treating it as a lighthearted moment while also using it as an opportunity to educate the young boy on the proper use of emergency services. But the story didn’t end there.
The next day, the officers returned with a special delivery—a fresh serving of ice cream—to make up for the one that had disappeared. The thoughtful gesture was met with smiles, and the little boy was thrilled to have his treat replaced.
The heartwarming moment has since gained attention on social media, where many found humor in the child’s commitment to his ice cream. Others praised the officers for their kindness and community engagement.
