The son of Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star NeNe Leakes has been arrested and charged after he was caught lying to police about illegal drugs he had on his person.
According to Gwinnett County Police, Bryant was arrested on the 2400 block of Farmington Court, in an Atlanta suburb after police arrived at the scene where a suspicious vehicle was found parked outside a home.
When police searched the vehicle, they say they found a “small plastic page that contained a white powdery substance” inside the console of the car. An officer identified the substance as either cocaine or fentanyl. A drug test revealed that the drug was fentanyl.
Bryant was then apprehended and taken to the Gwinnett County Jail without incident. He was charged with possession of a Schedule II-controlled substance, loitering and prowling.
The suspect was later released on bond but then police found that he had lied to police stating that his name was Brentt Leakes, his younger half-brother. He also provided the wrong address, providing the address to the home his family lived in years ago.
Detectives would later find that he lied about his identity and found that he was wanted for a probation violation. He was then taken back into custody and charged with giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.
At the time of this writing, Bryant remains in custody.
In February, Leakes cleared up rumors that her 23-year-old son Brentt Leakes was gay after he posted a TikTok video implying he was coming out.
Brentt, who proudly showed the world his 100-pound weight loss, engaged in a popular TikTok trend called “If I miss, I’m gay.” In the video, he is seen shooting a crumpled-up piece of paper into a trash can and missing the shot. He captioned the video, “Damn #viral #fyp.”
On a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, his mother opened up about the rumor, which she said caused several family and friends to call her to confirm whether it was true.
“I was out of town, and I get all these text messages. ‘Oh my God, Brentt came out. He’s gay!’ I was like ‘He is!?’” the 55-year-old Cinderella star said with a laugh.
“Brentt is not gay,” she continued. “He did some popular TikTok trend and everybody is calling us up about if he’s gay or not. Is Brentt gay? I don’t know.”
