Kanye’s 10-year-old daughter declares she has her first album ‘Elementary School Dropout’ lined up for fans.
North West, whose mom is Kim Kardashian, is following in her father’s footsteps and is starting a rap career.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign held a Vultures 2 listening party on Sunday night at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. While introducing the new album, Ye allowed his daughter, North, to share the news with the audience.
She stated that the project would be titled Elementary School Dropout, in homage to her father’s debut album, The College Dropout, which catapulted him from Roc-A-Fella’s in-house producer to one of the most groundbreaking artists in hip-hop history.
“I’ve been working on an album,” North told the crowd as she stood beside her father. “And it’s called Elementary School Dropout.”
North’s younger siblings, Chicago and Psalm, also joined her on stage at the Footprint Center, holding hands and dancing to her song “Vultures.”
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s oldest daughter, North, has lately desired to follow in her father’s footsteps. In December 2023, she appeared at a Vultures 1 album-listening event in Miami.
She also makes a guest appearance on the Vultures 1 track “Talking” music video where she raps, “I love it here/We gonna take over the year for another year/It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie/Don’t tryna test me/It’s gonna get messy.”
Afterward, she joined her father on several stages to sing her part in the single.
The Hot 100 entry made her one of the youngest artists ever to appear on the chart and the Emerging Artist list.
Kardashian celebrated her daughter’s achievement for “Talking” by writing on Instagram Story, along with a repost of the chart at the time, “My baby!!!”
While her album announcement received raucous applause and cheers from the live audience, people on social media had another thing to say.
