It was one of the most bombshell stories in media when former ABC anchor T.J. Holmes and his mistress at the time, Amy Robach, were yanked off the air after it was discovered they were engaging in a long-term affair. Both were married at the time of the firing.
It has now been revealed that the exes of the two, Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue are dating and going strong.
The pair were recently spotted hand-in-hand in New York looking happy to be by each other’s side. Marliee, 46, was adorned in a sophisticated long black wool coat, complemented by black gloves, leather ankle boots, and her hair elegantly swept back into a sleek ponytail. Andrew, 57, opted for a more relaxed attire, donning white sneakers, blue jeans, and a trim puffer jacket. Their date night ensembles were complete with radiant smiles, beautifully captured on camera.
Several reports confirmed the pair were exclusive after they were both seen at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
It was last year around this time when Marilee finally opened up about her estranged husband who had been seen gallivanting around town with Amy Robach.
“During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee’s sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter. To that end, T.J.’s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible,” divorce attorney Stephanie Lehman told TMZ on behalf of Fiebig.
She added: “Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter. Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year.”
Lehman first spoke on the issue to Daily Mail.
Marilee Fiebig had been married to Holmes for 12 years before the pair separated earlier this year. Months after the separation, it was revealed that he was having an affair with Robach, who appears alongside Holmes on ABC’s popular afternoon show GMA 3: What You Need to Know.
A source told Page Six that the pair began dating around March while they were both training for the New York City Half Marathon. In the months that followed, the two were caught in pictures hanging around town and taking trips together. Both anchors were married to their spouses for 12 years, but both couples separated from their spouses in August, reports say.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Holmes and Robach were first seen canoodling and drinking beers at a local NYC bar not far from an office where they work. Other photos show the pair packing items in a BMW to head on a trip at a tucked-away cottage in upstate New York. In one picture that has since gone viral, Holmes was seen cupping Roback’s butt cheek in his hand.
One work colleague told Page Six that the pair had “gone to extreme lengths to hide their affair.”
