Tierra Smith’s journey from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Tulsa, Oklahoma, demonstrates the power of embracing new opportunities! Having moved frequently throughout her life, including living in Abu Dhabi, Smith’s adaptability and entrepreneurial mindset have positioned her as a dynamic force in the remote work and business sectors.
Her latest chapter in Tulsa, made possible through the Tulsa Remote program, has allowed her to expand both professionally and personally.
Embracing Tulsa Remote’s Opportunities
Tulsa Remote is an initiative designed to attract full-time remote workers to Tulsa by offering a $10,000 grant to help participants relocate and establish their lives in the city.
For Smith, this program has provided the flexibility she needs to balance multiple ventures while fostering meaningful community connections.
“I need to travel a lot for work and for my business,” Smith said. “It gives me the flexibility not to be stuck in one place at one time.”
Currently, Smith works remotely as a Social Media Editor for Black Enterprise, a role she seamlessly integrates with her entrepreneurial pursuits.

She is the founder of Wins For Black Girls, a media company dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the successes of Black women. In Tulsa, she launched her second business, Watch Me Win, a digital marketplace and content platform for female entrepreneurs, content creators, and professionals.
“Tulsa Remote was just the avenue in which I was able to live out this dream,” Smith told the The Black Wall Street Times, highlighting how the program has facilitated her ability to grow her businesses while remaining connected to a thriving and supportive community.
Building a Business Rooted in Digital Empowerment
Smith’s time in Tulsa has deepened her understanding of the city’s history, particularly the legacy of Black Wall Street. This knowledge fueled her passion for digital entrepreneurship and community-building.
“So many Black businesses were burnt down,” Smith said. “It encouraged me to think beyond walls, beyond just what we can see physically, and how we can connect and build community on a larger scale across the country.”
This realization led to the launch of Watch Me Win, a platform aimed at helping women entrepreneurs secure funding, sell products, and network within a supportive digital space. Smith envisions Watch Me Win as the fastest-growing marketplace for women, to reach 100,000 subscribers and raise $500,000 in funding.
“If it’s virtually or in person, we all need community,” Smith said. “If we lack community, then we lack the tools, resources, and people that are going to take us to the next level.”
A Call for Investors and Community Support
As Smith continues to build Watch Me Win, she is actively seeking investors and strategic partners to help scale the platform’s reach and impact.
By leveraging her experiences through Tulsa Remote, she hopes to inspire others to take bold steps toward achieving their dreams.
