Sheryl Lee Ralph has agreed to dazzle movie lovers alongside Keke Palmer, Lizzo, and Nicki Minaj in the intriguing cast for the third sequel to Sister Act.

Whoopi Goldberg moved Sheryl Lee Ralph to tears Wednesday on “The View” by officially asking her to reproduce her role in the upcoming “Sister Act 3.”

During Sheryl Lee Ralph’s appearance, she and Whoopi Goldberg marked the 30th anniversary of the cult classic Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.

Both Goldberg and Ralph starred in the sequel, with Whoopi Goldberg leading as Deloris Van Cartier and the 67-year-old actress playing Florence Watson, the mother of Rital Louise Watson (portrayed by Lauryn Hill).

After the show aired a scene from the series’ second film, Goldberg threw the petition out.

“Something that’s gonna happen here in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sister Act 2, the producers here at The View are working on putting together a reunion,” she continued. “And we’re gonna try to get as many cast members to share memories from the movie. Would you do us the honor of coming back? And as soon as we know when it is, we’ll do that.”

Before Ralph, whose eyes welled up with tears as she exclaimed Goldberg’s name, could answer, Goldberg segued into a highlight of Ralph’s charitable work, which made Ralph tear up even more.

Naming several philanthropic works from Lee Ralph, Goldberg described her as “the real deal.”

“Before we go, we want to mention that, later this month, she’s going to be honored by the ACLU and awarded the Southern California Bill of Rights Award for all of her incredible work with the DIVA Foundation, an organization that she founded to empower vulnerable communities to achieve better health outcomes. “he’s been doing”She’sfor the longest time. Congratulations, this is the real deal, this woman,” Goldberg added.

After Goldberg lobbied for years to make a third Sister Act movie, Walt Disney Studios gave in to a third film in the series in 2020, with Tyler Perry as the producer

The movie still appears to be in development.
