Actress and television personality Whoopi Goldberg sharply criticized President Donald Trump for his remarks following the deaths of director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner.

Goldberg, speaking on The View, expressed disbelief and anger over Trump’s social media posts about the tragic event.

“I don’t understand the man in that White House because he talks so much about Charlie Kirk and Kerry and suddenly this is what he puts out. Have you no shame? No shame at all?” Goldberg said. She added that the former president failed to acknowledge global tragedies and American suffering, saying, “Somebody’s got to speak up for us. Our hearts are breaking… You ain’t my president, man.”

The controversy stems from Trump’s online comments following the apparent killings of 78-year-old Rob Reiner and his 68-year-old wife in Brentwood, Los Angeles.

Trump described Reiner as “tortured and struggling” and attributed his death to what he called “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” claiming that Reiner’s alleged obsession with him had contributed to the tragedy.

Trump also used the opportunity to highlight his own achievements, asserting he had “surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness” during his administration.

Goldberg’s remarks underscore growing tensions between public figures and the former president over his handling of sensitive news events, highlighting concerns about decorum, empathy, and public discourse.
