Hailing from the Bronx, Cardi B passionately questioned the impact of these budget cuts on her family and community, emphasizing her connection to the neighborhood.
The cuts, announced on November 16, were attributed to challenges linked to the migrant crisis, and Mayor Eric Adams defended them as necessary. The city had already allocated significant funds to address the ongoing issue, with projections indicating substantial expenditures in the coming years.
Cardi B, visibly upset, used strong language to convey her discontent with the budget cuts, particularly highlighting the $120 million reduction affecting schools, libraries, and the police department.

“In New York, there is a $120 million budget cut that’s going to affect schools, public libraries, and the police department — y’all know I don’t give a f**k about the cops, but it is what it is.
