Tina Knowles recently clapped back at political commentator Candace Owens, who falsely claimed that Beyoncé received a staggering $10 million for endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

After Kamala Harris’s defeat against Donald Trump, it was reported that her campaign continued sending fundraising texts even after the Vice President’s loss, supposedly investing a significant portion of the money on celebrity endorsements.
Since the rumors started, various posts have circulated on social media, including a list of celebrities who participated in Kamala Harris’ events during the campaign and the purported payments they received. Beyonce appeared in nearly all of these lists, along with the figure of $10 million.

In July, Beyoncé officially permitted VP Kamala Harris to use her song “Freedom” for the 2024 presidential campaign. VP Harris incorporated the track not only in her campaign rallies but also in her campaign videos.

On October 25, the campaign for Kamala Harris organized a rally in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé’s hometown. At this event, Beyoncé was accompanied by her former Destiny’s Child bandmate, Kelly Rowland, and her mother, Tina Knowles.

In her speech, Bey expressed her support for VP Harris and emphasized her attendance at the rally, stating that she was present as a mother who “cares about the world our children live in.”

On a recent episode of her show, Candace Owens claimed, “Beyoncé allegedly got paid $10 million for that pathetic little endorsement of Kamala Harris. What was it 3 minutes? $10 million for 3 minutes of her life?” Owens even claims that Bey wasn’t the only celebrity who was paid for their endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Nonetheless, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, refuted these allegations on Saturday, labeling them false.

“So this has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down. It’s called False Information. Sadly, other platforms with a lack of integrity still have it up. The lie is that Beyoncé was paid 10 million dollars to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris. When, in fact, Beyoncé did not receive a penny for speaking at a Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Houston,” Ms. Tina wrote.

The matriarch disclosed that Beyonce was not paid to appear at the Texas rally in October, and she had even bought her plane tickets herself.

“In fact, she actually paid for her own flights for her and her team, as well as total Glam. They are not only lying and disrespecting Beyonce’s name, but they are trying to further discredit the power of our vice president!”
