Authorities in Toledo, Ohio, are searching for 45-year-old Jeanita Hopings, who is accused of committing a violent assault that left a man with severe injuries.
Hopings allegedly broke into the man’s home and cut open his genitals during a confrontation earlier this week.
According to local reports and court records, the incident took place on Oct 7, when Hopings allegedly kicked down the front door of her boyfriend’s residence and entered without permission.
Police said that once inside, she attacked the man with a sharp object, slicing open his scrotum during the altercation.

Responding officers found the victim bleeding heavily from his injuries. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where medical staff confirmed a deep laceration that left one of his testicles exposed, according to the police warrant.
The Toledo Police Department has since issued arrest warrants for Hopings on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary. She remains at large as of Friday, and authorities are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact law enforcement.
Investigators told reporters that the man, who was not clothed at the time of the incident, said he heard someone break in and ran downstairs to investigate before being attacked. Police have not disclosed a possible motive for the assault, and the victim’s current condition has not been publicly released.
Court records reviewed by People and KGNS-TV show that Hopings has no prior felony convictions, though she has faced several misdemeanor charges in the past, primarily related to traffic offenses.
If convicted of the current charges, Hopings could face up to 16 years in prison, given the severity of the alleged assault and the burglary charge.
Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information on Hopings’ location to call Crime Stoppers of Toledo.
