White House Acknowledges Receipt of Candace Owens’ Report Alleging Assassination Plot by French President

Conservative commentator Candace Owens says the White House and U.S. counterterrorism officials have acknowledged receiving her report alleging that French President Emmanuel Macron attempted to orchestrate her assassination.

Her extraordinary claim, however, remains entirely unverified and has not been supported by any official statement.

Owens announced on X that her show would be off the air this week due to what she described as “escalating threats.” She posted that “both the White House and our counterterrorism agencies have confirmed receipt” of her information, explaining that she expects President Donald Trump and U.S. intelligence agencies to issue public statements validating her allegations.

To date, no confirmation or comment has come from the White House, federal law enforcement, intelligence agencies, or French authorities.

National security officials contacted by several media outlets have historically drawn a clear line between acknowledging a report—a routine administrative step that occurs with nearly all public submissions—and verifying or endorsing its contents.

Owens’ latest claims mark a dramatic escalation in a narrative she has been pushing since the September killing of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

Authorities initially identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson, describing the attack as targeted but domestic in nature. Owens has rejected that explanation, insisting Kirk’s death was part of an international conspiracy involving French forces and other unnamed actors.

In her post on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, Owens again alleged that “French legionnaires were involved in Charlie Kirk’s assassination,” adding that they “did not act alone.” None of these claims have been corroborated by investigators in the United States or abroad.

Over the past two months, Owens has woven together a complex series of accusations—linking French military units, unnamed foreign operatives, and even high-profile political figures—into what she describes as a documentary-style investigation.

Her recent broadcasts include timelines, speculative financial trails, and allegations tied to anonymous sources. One segment names an “Israeli operative” and a “French female assassin,” claims that national security experts have dismissed as unsubstantiated and unsupported by any public evidence.

Still, her allegations have found traction in some corners of the conservative media ecosystem. Commentator Brandon Tatum has said he has seen “evidence,” though he has not produced any for independent review.

The French government has not responded to the allegations regarding Macron or French military personnel. U.S. officials have remained similarly silent, a posture that underscores the seriousness with which governments typically handle claims involving foreign assassination plots—even when the claims appear dubious.

For now, the only confirmed element is procedural: Owens submitted a report, and federal agencies acknowledged receiving it. Everything beyond that remains unverified, uncorroborated, and sharply disputed.

Her show is expected to remain off-air through the week as she continues to press for what she describes as a forthcoming statement from the president.
