Award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson has added another major honor to her decorated career.
She has taken home Outstanding Actress in a Limited Television (Series, Special or Movie) at the 57th NAACP Image Awards Creative Honors, organizers confirmed.
The win recognizes Henson’s performance in the Netflix project Straw, which also secured the award for Outstanding Limited Television (Series, Special or Movie) during the ceremony celebrating achievements across film, television and documentaries.

Career milestone at a major awards platform
The Creative Honors event, part of the broader NAACP Image Awards celebration, spotlights artistic excellence and contributions from Black creators across the entertainment industry. This year’s ceremony highlighted what organizers described as the “voices and talent” shaping storytelling on screen.
Henson’s victory places her among a list of prominent winners that included filmmaker Ryan Coogler, who earned top writing and directing honors for Sinners, and the hit sitcom Abbott Elementary, which won Outstanding Comedy Series.
Continuing legacy of impact
Long recognized for her powerful performances, Henson has built a career defined by both critical acclaim and cultural influence. Her latest award reinforces her position as one of Hollywood’s most consistent and celebrated performers in dramatic television roles.
The 57th NAACP Image Awards broadcast is scheduled to air live on BET and CBS, showcasing additional winners and tributes from across the entertainment industry.
