A social media commentator is suggesting that voter confusion and redistricting may have played a role in the election loss of Jasmine Crockett in the Texas Senate Democratic primary.

In a video posted on Instagram, user Kita Rose (@kitarose_), known for her strongly-worded and funny commentaries, said the circumstances surrounding the vote raised questions for her about how the election unfolded, pointing to polling extensions and district changes as potential factors.

“All the ‘confusion’ and chaos told me everything I needed to know,” she wrote alongside the video.

In the clip, Rose said she became suspicious when polling hours were extended from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., citing reports that voters were unsure where to cast ballots.

“There was a time where Jasmine was heavily in the lead and then they extended polling times,” Rose said. “I knew right then and there that something was about to happen.”

She argued that confusion among voters may have been linked to district changes that affected where people were allowed to vote.

“What they’ll do is they’ll change the locations where you can vote,” she said. “When you get there and stand there for hours… they’ll say, ‘Oh, I’m sorry, this is not your district—we redistricted.’”

Rose referenced the recent redistricting in Texas, claiming it contributed to uncertainty for some voters attempting to cast ballots.

According to her account, some voters reported arriving at polling sites they had used in previous elections only to be told they were assigned to a different location.

“They were standing in line at the places they always went but then they were turned away,” she said.

Rose also questioned how ballots cast during the extended polling window were handled after a court decision reportedly curtailed the extension earlier than expected.

“How many votes were accepted after the polling time was extended?” she asked in the video. “Did you stop counting the votes after seven or do those votes still count?”

Despite her concerns about the process, Rose also praised Crockett’s campaign performance.

“With what you were given—especially taking into account where you’re at—you did a mighty fine job,” she said.

The commentary reflects broader debates in Texas over redistricting, polling access and election procedures, issues that frequently surface during tightly contested races in the state.

Rose ended her video by encouraging viewers to remain engaged in the political process while acknowledging skepticism among some voters.

“Voting in Texas is equivalent to hide and go seek,” she said, referring to the challenges she believes some voters face when trying to find their correct polling locations.

Rose’s video follows March 3’s Democratic Senate primary vote between Crockett and James Talarico. Although Jasmine Crockett has conceded defeat, the process was marked by allegations of voter suppression of demographics most likely to vote for Crockett.

While Kita Rose’s comments represent personal opinions rather than verified claims about election administration, the video has circulated widely online and attracted hundreds of reactions, showing similar concerns among some voters about access, transparency and electoral fairness in the state.
