The 43-year-old singer confirmed months of rumors by sharing a photo of her growing baby bump on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, shortly after the fiery pregnancy announcement video earlier in the week.
In the brief video, Ashanti shows off her expanding tummy by posing against a balcony rail and allowing the camera to pan down her body. The expectant mother is stunningly attired in a deep blue dress that skims her growing belly. She grinned broadly at the camera and tossed her high ponytail over her shoulder.
The Grammy winner decided glimpses weren’t enough for her fans as she gave them more than an eyeful on stage in Biloxi.
Ashanti performed live at Studio A of the IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi, on Saturday, April 20. Pictures and videos from social media show the audience erupting into cheers as soon as Ashanti and her visible baby bump took the stage.
The soon-to-be mother is radiant and gorgeous, as expected. Ashanti dropped her previously famous stage looks, such as baggy T-shirts and sweatsuits, to reveal every curve and inch of her developing baby bulge.
The 43-year-old exuded confidence in her one-piece black bodysuit. She paired the outfit with black knee-high boots (which she took off before performing dance moves) and a cropped leather bomber embellished sequins and studs.

While singing old-school hits like “Baby” and “Body on Me,” the recently engaged singer’s hair and makeup looked flawless. Shiny glam makeup and swooped baby hairs completed Ashanti’s high ponytail look.
Earlier, during her pregnancy debut, Ashanti confirmed the news of her engagement in an interview with Essence, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation. Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
