Ice-T and Coco Austin’s daughter, Chanel, recently showcased how timeless kindness can be. At the Rookie in the City Fashion Show held at Macy’s Herald Square in New York on September 18, the 9-year-old not only looked adorable in a stylish black Nike outfit paired with a gray cardigan but also captured everyone’s hearts with a beautiful gesture.
As Chanel prepared to go down the runway, she noticed another young model who appeared anxious at the start of the catwalk. With the bright lights and buzzing crowd seeming daunting, Chanel reached out to her, taking the girl’s hand and walking alongside her.
This heartwarming moment was caught on video and shared on Instagram, quickly becoming the highlight of the event. The audience erupted with cheers as the two girls posed together at the runway’s end. Chanel even took a moment to bend down and wave to the cameras, radiating confidence while ensuring her new friend felt supported.

Chanel is no stranger to the spotlight; she has experience walking runways, acting, and even creating her own social media content online. Yet, it was this simple act of kindness that truly showcased that she has inherited more than just Ice-T’s star power or Coco’s style. She also possesses a big heart.
Ice-T has always been protective when it comes to Chanel’s emerging career. In an interview with TODAY last year, he mentioned he’d consider letting Chanel appear on Law & Order: SVU one day but only under specific conditions. “I would never let her be a victim,” he explained. “I mean, no disrespect to any parents that have had their kids on our show, but it’s creepy to me… I would never cast my daughter in anything negative or weird.”
