Brittish Williams is fighting to spend one last Christmas with her 5-year-old daughter before stepping into the penitentiary coop.
In her latest motion, the TV reality star pleaded with a judge to push back the date she has to check in to prison to allow her to spend one last holiday with her little girl.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the ‘Basketball Wives star’s scheduled sentence date is to begin on December 11, 2023.
Her initial surrender date means that she would have to spend Christmas behind bars and without her daughter.
According to the new motion, she needs to push her surrender date back as she’s the “sole caregiver for her five-year-old daughter.”
She also noted that her child requires time to process the “upcoming transition” of her imprisonment.
Her lawyer further pushed their argument to the judge that her daughter “desperately” wants to enjoy the holidays with her mother.
Additionally, her lawyer stipulated that it would “mean a great deal for them to have that time together.”
“They believe that she will be able to move in by the end of December. A little more time is needed to get a suitable living space for them. They have been working on it. They will not need more than a 30-day extension to get all of these issues finalized,” her lawyer disclosed.
In October, the reality star was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment over tax fraud, bank fraud, and insurance fraud. She pleaded guilty to 15 felonies, including four counts of bank fraud, three counts of making false statements to the IRS, five counts of misuse of a Social Security number, and three counts of wire fraud.
Williams was ordered to pay $564k in restitution.
British Williams proposed January 11 for her new surrender date, but the judge has yet to decide her fate.
While in incarceration, Williams’ mother will be taking custody of her daughter. But they’re reportedly still searching for a suitable home for elderly Williams and her granddaughter.
So heartbreaking for the little girl!
