New York artist Cardi B is speaking out about her role in the new ninth “Fast & Furious” movie.
Cardi stars alongside action stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and rapper Ludacris in “F9.” She plays a character named Leysa.
“Vin Diesel reached out and he was talking about a role,” she says of how she became involved with the Hollywood franchise. “I’m like, ‘It’s freakin Fast & Furious. Get me there, put me on a plane!'”
In the clip, Cardi also gushes over her new role:
“I love the fact that I’m representing such a powerful, strong woman. She’s just that bitch… Leysa’s such a badass.”

Earlier this year, Cardi B made headlines after she posted a video calling out “blue check Republicans.” Cardi called them out on their convenient silence over the recent spate of police brutality incidents — including the arrest of Black and Latino Army Lt. Caron Nazario and the police killing of Daunte Wright.
Nazario was sprayed several times in the face, threatened with execution and violently arrested by two white police officers.
Nazario filed a lawsuit seeking more than $1 million against the two Windsor, Virginia officers.
“This past week we have seen an American lieutenant that served this country get treated like a f*cking dog by cops, got maced, got thrown to the floor — mind you, this man served this country,” Cardi said at the time.
Wright was shot and killed by officer Kim Potter after she discharged her handgun instead of her Taser while attempting to arrest him. Wright was pulled over due to an expired tag and discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest. Wright then tried to drive away.
The officer whose camera footage was released is heard warning the man she’s going to use her Taser on him before repeatedly shouting, “Taser! Taser! Taser!”
Potter resigned from her post and has been charged with second-degree manslaughter.
While several Democrats have been vocal about the injustice, the GOP remains tight-lipped.
“We have seen a young man get killed by a cop, unarmed, and the excuse was the cop that had been on duty for 20-plus years mistakes a gun for a Taser. And my thing is, where the f*ck are you Twitter blue check Republicans at? Y’all are the loudest in this motherf * ckin’ app. Y’all not saying nothin’. Y’all not complainin’. Y’all blame everything with what’s wrong in America beside the police. Y’all have been very silent. What’s going on?” she said in the clip.
