Jodie Turner-Smith Seeks Huge Child Support Amid Divorce Drama with Joshua Jackson

Actress Jodie Turner-Smith is taking center stage in a contentious legal battle with her estranged husband, actor Joshua Jackson, as details of their financial dispute come to light.

In court filings obtained by In Touch, Turner-Smith is requesting monthly child and spousal support to maintain stability for their 4-year-old daughter, Juno Rose Jackson, while addressing mounting legal expenses.

Turner-Smith, 38, revealed in her filings that Jackson, 46, earned $2.35 million in 2022—an estimated $195,000 monthly. While Turner-Smith’s income averages $87,500 per month, she noted a significant spike in earnings last month, bringing in $245,000.

However, the actress detailed substantial monthly expenses, including $40,000 for rent, $6,000 to support family members, and $3,291 for entertainment.

To date, Turner-Smith has spent over $412,000 on legal fees, relying solely on her own resources.

She is now requesting $8,543 per month in child support and $28,641 in spousal support, retroactive to October 2023, along with a $250,000 lump sum to cover legal costs and the hiring of a forensic accountant.

In a statement included in her motion, Turner-Smith said:

“Josh historically made more money than me and at times, significantly more. During our marriage, he accustomed me to a lifestyle that included luxury trips around the world.”

The actress also accused Jackson of failing to contribute financially since their separation, leaving her to shoulder all expenses for their daughter.

“Josh has paid me $0 in guideline child and/or spousal support since our separation,” she said.

Turner-Smith shared that she had to relocate to London for work to sustain her and Juno but expressed a desire to establish a permanent home in Los Angeles.

“All I want is to be able to afford to purchase a home in Los Angeles and to support our daughter,” she wrote.

She further alleged that Jackson had asked her to leave their marital home, despite her $800,000 contribution to its down payment, and has used litigation tactics to delay an equitable resolution.

Turner-Smith highlighted the personal and professional challenges she faces as a single Black mother in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the need for financial stability.

As of now, Jackson has not publicly responded to Turner-Smith’s claims.
