Keke Palmer’s ex, Darius Jackson, has filed a restraining order against the actress, alleging the actress was physically abusive.
The father of Keke Palmer’s 9-month-old son Leodis is reportedly fighting back against the temporary restraining order granted to the actress in November.
Darius Jackson claims that Keke was the “primary aggressor” in their relationship.
On Tuesday, Jackson submitted a request in Los Angeles court asking the judge for an order requiring Keke Palmer to stay 100 yards away from him, claiming Palmer was abusive.
Legal documents filed on Friday contained details about several alleged incidents supporting Darius Jackson’s accusations against Palmer.
In court documents, Jackson claims Palmer “punched” him in an “agitated and aggressive” manner at a party in 2021.
He backed his accusations by naming a friend, Lenoria Addison, who he claims “tried to stop” the former Nickelodeon actress from allegedly hitting Jackson.
His evidence is a string of texts from Palmer apologizing for hitting him.
One message read: “I am sorry for hitting you.”
In another lengthy text message, Keke allegedly claimed she was “ashamed of how” she handled their alleged dispute.
“I’m sorry for hitting you. I’m sorry for being afraid to lose you and that turning into me acting out of fear and desperation. That was not the best me that you received, and I’m sorry for that. I am mad at the situation. I’m mad at myself.
“I’m deeply affected and afraid because it’s such a deep heaviness that I don’t want to feel anymore. It’s not your fault nor your job to alleviate it from me. I, honestly, need you to pray on it,” Keke allegedly texted Jackson.
Jackson included another alleged incident that took place in October 2021. He claimed Keke Palmer “violently gripped” his arm and demanded that he didn’t leave the house.
“We exchanged a text about this incident, and I sent her a photo of the marks she left on my arm that night,” Darius Jackson stated in the legal documents.
He also claimed Palmer allegedly choked and hit him during an altercation on February 28, 2022, adding that his baby mama dissed him, calling him names such as “bitch, a punk ass, and a loser” while she was allegedly drunk.
He added in the documents, “We exchanged a text about this incident, and I sent her a photo of the marks she left on my arm that night.”
Additionally, Jackson claimed that Palmer punched the windshield of his car while driving in January 2022 during a heated argument.
He submitted proof of a money transfer that the actress allegedly sent him following the incident to repair the windshield of his car.
Darius Jackson has asked the court for joint legal and physical custody of their son and a dismissal of Keke Palmer’s petition for a restraining order on domestic violence grounds.
He asked Palmer to pay for his lawyers and obey the stay-away and no-contact orders he wanted the court to grant him in his counterclaim.
In November 2022, Keke “Lauren Keyana” Palmer won against Darius Jackson and received sole guardian of her 8-month-old son, Leodis. Including a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, whom she accused of domestic abuse.
