Model Kimora Lee Simmons has intervened to defend the rapper Diddy’s daughters amid a string of scandals and grave accusations against him, including rape, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.
The 49-year-old model declared her intentions on Instagram after CNN was able to obtain security footage from 2016 that appeared to show the troubled music mogul hitting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Kimora Lee Simmons was close friends with 17-year-old twins D’Lila and Jessie’s late mother, Kim Porter.
Kim Porter and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had a protracted, rocky relationship from the 1990s until their final breakup in 2007. In 2016, they welcomed their twin daughters, Comn twins, in 2016.
Barley, a year after their split, Porter passed away from lobar pneumonia in November 2018 at the age of 47.
When Simmons heard rumors of her friend’s death, she went to her friend’s house with her 16-year-old daughter Aoki and soon discovered that the news that Kim had passed away was not a “joke.”
In an emotional post, the fashion maven mourned her dearest friend, Kim Porter.
“At your homegoing celebration today, it became all too real that you are not returning. I cannot stop crying, but I will be strong for you. It’s gone WAY too soon. Wtf. I am in shock. To my beautiful friend and sister, I love you,” Simmons wrote of the model and actress.
On Sunday, Kimora Lee Simmons took to her Instagram Story to share a special milestone with 17-year-old Jessie James and D’Lila Star during their Senior prom send-off.
Simmons shared the special moment on her social media handle. Still, Diddy didn’t post any images or updates about his daughters.
“Prom 2024! I am so very proud of you, my babies! I love you always and will protect you fiercely to the end with all I have! Congrats, my loves! You made it! @the_combs_twins,” Simmons wrote over a picture of the two girls looking at each other and admiring their looks.
The prom night comes after a 2016 video featuring Bad Boy record producer Diddy was leaked. In the video, Diddy is seen punching and kicking Cassie Ventura, whom he dated for over ten years.
Almost 48 hours later, Diddy apologized in a video, blaming his actions on a “dark phase” and saying he had sought “medical help.”
But what caught people’s attention was when Diddy left Cassie’s name out of the apology. This made many wonder if he was genuinely hurt or just trying to protect himself.
