‘Lock In And Stay Loud’: Tashara Parker Shares Raw And Powerful Message About Purpose And Persistence

by Gee NY

Award-winning journalist and community advocate Tashara Parker is encouraging her followers to embrace their purpose and walk boldly in their calling, whether the world applauds them or not.

In a heartfelt Instagram post and video that has since garnered widespread support, Parker opened up about navigating rejection, honoring divine vision, and doing the behind-the-scenes work most people never see.

“Are you still waiting for the world to validate what God has already confirmed?” Parker wrote in her caption, inviting followers to reflect on what they’re “waiting or working on in this season.”

It’s Time to Lock In

The video, recorded from a Starbucks where Parker was scribbling out ideas for her next chapter, gives an unfiltered look at the grit it takes to pursue greatness.

Inspired by a recent experience with Oprah Winfrey and a room full of ambitious Dallas women, Parker reminded viewers that success doesn’t come without sacrifice.

“When God gives you a vision, you better protect it and you better work for it,” she said. Even after receiving news that a client had chosen to move in a different direction, Parker maintained her composure and used the moment to make strong point about resilience: “You got to be willing to accept the no’s to make room for the yeses.”

The Grind Behind the Glory

Known for her signature crown hairstyle and unapologetic voice in the media space, Parker admitted she doesn’t always share the process—only the polished outcome. But that’s changing.

“People see the finished product and they don’t understand the work that it took to get there,” she said. “Just know when you start seeing those blessings, the bookings, the business—it didn’t fall from the sky. I worked for that. I prayed over it. I stayed up with it. I sacrificed for it.”

She urged her audience not to shrink their dreams or play small:

“Stop waiting for somebody to pick you up. It’s time to lock in.”

A Call to Rise Loud

Parker also issued a direct message to those watching others win: support them with the same energy you expect for yourself.

“Please do not hate on somebody who’s winning when you know that they deserve it,” she said. “We celebrate loud. We support loud. We rise loud.”

Channeling her signature affirmations, she concluded with a challenge to her community:

“Let’s stay locked in. Let’s stay loud. And let’s get everything God said we could have. Obedience—even when the no’s come in—obedience.”
